I would rather have reviewed these 2 separately but ok, we can do it together. The Frenzy-X I would give a 4 to and the mount, a 2.5 or less. The Frenzy came on a mount & had to remove it as I had an 11 mm dovetail on the Velox I was going to put it on. With it being a TEK pattern, it was on pins so lined up easily. Build quality is good & controls responsive but simple. Just what I wanted. So far, the only complaint I have is that the elevation & Windage adjustments are not positive. I would have liked something soild in feel and retention such as a click.
The mount is a different story. It looks good & seems to be solid, until you try to mount it. The Frenzy fit fine but it would not fit on the 11mm dovetail of the pistol as it was supposed to. It was too small by .030. Fortunately, I have a mill and took the nessasary material off the straight side to make it fit. Should not of had to modify it & had to cut through the coating but is now usable. For having to mod it, a 2-2.5. If it had fit out of the box, A 4. But with it all set, you would not know I had to fix it & it does look good & function well. I would recommend the Frenzy-X but not the dovetail, unless you have a mill to modify it to fit on an 11mm dovetail rail as it was supposed to.
Great sight. Put on the Italian 12 caliber Marocchi. Holds the stamp. Today I shot 50 rounds at the shooting range. Recommend!
40 days the seller does not send the goods, does not respond to messages from the word at all. I write to him regularly for 2 weeks, there is no answer.
Received the Frenzy but with no glock plate to install.
My first SCRD-35 was a really big eye opener when I installed on my Ruger MK II. It makes shooting more fun, especially on the falling plate match where speed and accuracy are the goal. I soon after got another SCRD-35 for my other MK II. This is my third one of the same model, and it goes to Ruger 10/22. That should tell how much I trust Vector Optics Frenzy.... Thanks...
Vector Optics is a good company with lots of good scopes, i used a frenzy-X 1x20x28 red dot sight , it is awesome.
