Parallax: Free (<2MOA) / ±1MOA 

• Free (<2MOA) means no matter how you move your eyes, the reticle always aligns with the target center. 

• Free doesn't mean 100% absence of parallax error, instead, it means the error is so minimal that can be neglected.

Parallax setting: XX yards

• At XX yards, red dot are designed to be parallax free. 

Dot size/ reticle:  2MOA/3MOA/5MOA/6MOA/with ring

• 2MOA/3MOA, works well for >50m. 

• The center dot wouldn't block sight view too much, fit for small target, long-range shooting.

• 5MOA/6MOA/8MOA, works well for <50m.

• It is user-friendly for rapid target acquisition when catching moving targets.

• It is highly visible even under bright daylight conditions.

Motion Sensor: Yes/ N/A

• The motion sensor automatically activates the illumination when movement is detected, and saves some power when not in use. 

Light Sensor: Yes/ N/A

• The light(-sensitive) sensor adjusts the reticle's brightness level according to the surrounding light conditions. 

Click Value: X MOA

• The unit of elevation and windage adjustment. 

• 1 MOA equals 1 inch at a 100-yard distance.

• The smaller the unit is, the more precise the adjustment can be. 

Reticle color: Red/ Green

• Green dot is more visible/user-friendly than red dot under some situation, e.g.bright daylight, while green dot is more costly than red dot. 

Elevation adjustment range: Including both up and down range you can adjust your reticle

Windage adjustment range: Including both left and right range you can adjust your reticle 

Footprint: TEK/MOJ/MGT/GIN/VOD/RUM

• VE named its footprints with alcohol name.

• TEK is compatible with Doctor®.

• MOJ is compatible with RMR.

• MGT is compatibe with RMSc.

• GIN is compatible with C-More.

• VOD is compatible with ACRO.

• RUM is compatible with Delta Point Pro.

Mounting rail: Weaver/Picatinny/Dovetail. 

• Usually VE red dot comes with an adapter to connect red dot and the rail. 

• For instance, if VE lists "Weaver" here, it means the bottom side of the adapter can be loaded on weaver rail. 

Illumination setting:  Number - illumination levels. Mode - Daylight + NV(Night Vision). Color - Red/Green.

Battery life: Up to XXX hours. 

• The maximum battery life (in hours).

Battery placement: N/A / Side loading

• The place where the battery would be loaded. 

• N/A means that the battery is loaded at the bottom of the red dot.

• Side loading means there is a side-loading battery tray to change battery without re-zero.

Waterproof: IPXX

• IP stands for Ingress Protection, with two numbers following it.

• The first number indicates the product’s resistance to the dirt and dust, ranging from 1 to 6. If an “X” is used, it means the product hasn’t been tested.

• The second one represents the product’s resistance to the water, ranging from 1 to 9.

• 4 means protecting from splashing water. 

• 6 means protecting from powerful water jets at high pressure. 

• 7 means protection from immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

Shockproof: 750G / 1000G / 1500G

• 750G stands for recoil resistance up to .338

• 1500G is currently VE's highest shockproof rating.

Working temperature: The lowest working temperature - the highest working temperature

Housing material:  6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy / 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy

• 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy, known for its qualified corrosion resistance and shockproof properties, is used in marine infrastructure.

• 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy, known for its superior corrosion resistance and shockproof properties, is used in aerospace infrastructure.

Mount material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy / 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy

• Usually VE red dot comes with a mount to load red dot on the gun.

• 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy, known for its qualified corrosion resistance and shockproof properties, is used in marine infrastructure.

• 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy, known for its superior corrosion resistance and shockproof properties, is used in aerospace infrastructure.

Finish: Matte black 

• Matte black means no gloss.

Weight (mount): 

• VE weighs the red dot with the mount.

• If "weight(net)", VE weighs only the red dot, without the mount.
