"As a primary red dot, the SCRD-79 really stood out being such a lightweight, large, and robust open optic."

"I took this G45 out of my bedside lockbox to mount thisdot and try it out. After putting over half a case through it, it has earned it's way back into that safe this past week because I TRUST IT."

The large window makes the dot really easy to find, especially when shooting quickly. The 6 MOA dot is bright, clear and works great at close range.
Installed on my Glock 21 Gen 5 with a Forward Controls optics mounting plate. And goodness it works amazing and it looks great. It's also got a really low deck height and some rear irons you can use as well. So far it seems to be holding up great on my gun under recoil.
Price and quality cant be beat.
That big window is easily my favorite part of this optic. There's plenty of room to see around the dot, and the 6 MOA size is easy to pick up. Really like the overall proportions too.
just got this sight for my p211 gto and i love it. i wanted a sight with a big window and this fit the bill. i was attracted to the trijicon SRO but didn’t wanna spend half a grand for a sight. for the price of a vortex razor rmr, this one sports a bigger window and bigger dot with all the features you’d want from a Holosun. i love it! it fits perfectly on an rmr footprint and it doesn’t lose zero. everyone at the range asks me what sight i have and who makes it, and i love pointing them to the site.
This could be a massive sleeper. 6moa clear glass, seems solid, Big window! 500 rounds behind it so far. Time will tell.
I like this red dot a lot. Clear lense and crisp dot. I was stacking rounds on top of each other at 10 yards consistently while shooting reactive.
Nice 6MOA and using it for my local idpa matches with this on the Glock 17 gen6
Large lens works great for fast target acquisition. I’ve had this mounted and uncovered on a 300 backpack build, zero hasn’t shifted and lens has no scratches.
I bought my first frenzy flex (1x24x29) for my Walther PDP to use in USPSA competition. I've had 3 Carry optics matches with it and I'm extremely happy with the results. I've been using the Holosun 507 Comp on my other pistols, but for me, the Frenzy Flex actually performed better. Dot acquisition was a bit quicker and the dot size (6 MOA) worked perfect for me even with my astigmatism. The lens clarity was clear and the dot was very crisp. I was so impressed by this model that I bought a second one and installed it on my S.A. Platypus 2011 to compete in USPSA limited optics division. The performance and results that I got at this price was the best thing on this purchase. The only negative thing about it is that it did not come with a battery...that was kinda lame. Every other red dot brand that I've purchased came standard with a battery. With that, I have to say that I was still impressed by this model and I do recommend it. So far, it has been the best value red dot I've ever purchased. I hope Vector optics continue to make good quality products and keep their best pricing.
The Frenzy 1x24x29 GenII Red Dot Sight has significantly improved my target acquisition speed. The larger window and brighter emitter are perfect for both daylight and low-light conditions. The improved battery life and NV settings make it great for night vision setups.
The dot is always bright and where it needs to be every time. I love the extra-large window that you get in this RedDot platform.
This is it.
Great Price Point
Premium Build
No Parallax distortion
Will not bottom out (Be reasonable)
High quality screws that won''t strip on you. Use a torque wrench please.
Should last a lifetime.
Good quality, holds zero, great price, what else could you ask for?
Large, clear window at a fantastic price. It came with several accessories and mounting screws, although I did have to use screws from a different optic to mount this one to my Echelon. Anytime I buy another pistol with an RMR footprint in the future, I will buy another one of these. Can't beat the value. Vector Optics has a new fan, for sure.
Not too shabby
I was surprised by the quality and surpassed my expectations. Haven't taken it to distance but soon will
