I bought this scope to mount on a Walther LGV from the 1960's that I am setting up to compete in Indoor FT or German Rules FT. (picture)
These are variations of the FT sport, one is shot indoor at ranges between 10 yards and 22 yards. Targets are FT targets that have 'holes' through which the pellet must pass to bring down the target.
For the indoor game, holes are really small.
For the German rules, that is played out to 44 yards, the holes are more generous, but the limited power (5.5 ft-lbs) makes it very challenging.
The scope is your rangefinder, so 24X is welcome in a compact scope, and an added / logarithmical sidewheel helps in pinpointing the range/distance to the target.
The reticle COULD be finer. ½ mRads are not enough for the precision that modern pellets can give between 10 and 55 yards.
These scope should have AT LEAST ¼ mRad hash marks so that the shooter can guesstimate down to 1/8ths. (picture)
The 'wind' drift dots are useful if you know how to use them.
The side-housing for the erector spring IS cumbersome.It gets in the way of many one piece mounts (picture)
It is also obnoxious that the rear scope cap fits very badly. At the second or third shot, it comes off.
The system does work. At 10 meters offhand, it is possible to put three shots into a really small group (3 pictures). But if you loose your concentration, you might throw off a shot (picture).
AND if you get mad and allow yourself to be distracted, all hell breaks loose, ROFL! (picture).
So, if you think you can shoot, come out to a FT competition.

Bought this scope specifically for a Diana model 48 springer. I mounted it on a zero -recoil mount to assure the scope would survive springer recoil. Very compact at less than 12' long and also light at about 20 oz. Magnification and parallax adjustments are smooth without any slop or wiggle. Magnification is true 6-24x. The turrets have positive and audible clicks. The reticle is simple with semi- Christmas tree segmented lines and mil dots for holdovers and windage.
Holds zero perfectly so far.
I know it is listed as a budget scope, but it's build quality is impressive.
I would definitely recommend this scope for any compact PCP airgun. I would recommend it for any springer as long as it is mounted with a zero -recoil mount.
I would definitely buy again.
