On several occasions I thought about selling this red dot but in the end, I’ve decided to keep it permanently to put on the most recent build until eventually replacing it with its more permanent optic.
Allows me to get it out to the range and test a rifles practical accuracy knowing that this red dot is tough and has never let me down.
Currently, it’s sitting on my son’s dedicated 22 LR build and he isn’t in any rush to replace it so for now, it’s got a good job to do.
It also looks pretty nice and tactical with the recessed access to the nice, clicky turrets! No bells and whistles here but it don’t need any…it just runs.
Maverick Gen 2 1x22 Red Dot Sight – Review
The Maverick Gen 2 1x22 red dot sight offers an impressive balance of durability, performance, and value. Designed with tactical and recreational shooters in mind, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to upgrade their optics without breaking the bank.
Build & Design
The sight features a compact and lightweight aluminum housing, which feels sturdy without adding unnecessary bulk. It’s shockproof and holds up well under recoil, making it suitable for rifles, PCCs, or shotguns. The matte black finish resists scratches and minimizes glare.
Optics & Reticle
The 1x22 lens offers a clear, distortion-free image with a crisp 2 MOA red dot that’s easy to acquire in both bright and low-light conditions. With multiple brightness settings, the dot remains visible without overpowering your field of view. The sight is parallax-free and offers unlimited eye relief, allowing for quick target acquisition.

Good
Excellent product, very professional everything working perfectly tested and the same does not lose the point of aim, excellent fixation on the rail, fulfills the promise.
I have the maverick Gen 2 red dot and the maverick 3 magnifier....picatinny rail ...why alis the red dot higher than the magnifier with the quick release mount and too short with the other provided mount?
