AR-15 | Paragon 1x16 3x18 4×24 Prism Scope (SCPS-M01&03&04) | Small Game Hunting

Target actually shrinks when you look through this optic.

Will buy from you guys again

I mounted the small prism sight on my EP9 and couldn’t be more happy. I’s very easy to mount and adjust to your preferred distance.

very nice clear optic

This is an amazing 1x prism, glass is actually very good, I like the reticle a lot. For this optic being a 1x I intend to use it as a red dot. I have the PA 1x micro prism and this one has superior glass in my opinion, and I actually love the glass of the micro prism by PA. Vector makes very good optics for the money. I am happy with my purchase.

Shipped super fast, eye relief isnt really an issue (or at least it seems to be perfect for my cheek weld when installed one pic notch from the rear). The FOV is actually rather staggering compared to my last optic.

In my last review I said this and the Monstrum I compared it to had 1/2MOA adjustment. BOTH HAVE !' ADJUSTMENT. Sorry for mis-info

I am a bit of an optic snob, so you might want to take my review with a grain of salt. I'm looking into buying some back-up optics in case of failure of my primaries, which has kinda led me down this path. I recently purchased a Monstrum Cyborg 1x prism. Although the Paragon is just over 2x the price of the Monstrum, I will be comparing it against it(b/c any prism made outside of China is ~3x the price of the Paragon). There is a Youtube channel called Focustripp that did a torture test on this optic and I felt it was good enough. I'm not saying mine will stand up as well as his, but it's somewhat reassuring.
-BUILD QUALITY: The Monstrum is bigger/heavier, which could translate into being more robust, but without torture testing I cant say
-ILLUMINATION: The Paragon wins in brightness which is definitely daylight bright, but the Monstrum has a GREEN setting which I prefer. The one odd thing about the Paragon is that when turning on/off the illumination the intensity transitions like a dimmer dial on a room light(when turning off the illumination fades to off instead of instant off and vice-versa for turning it on). It only takes a split second, but it's there.
-CLARITY: The Paragon wins in the glass/image quality, but it is over 2x the price, so it should. True 1x on my unit has about a 5'ish eye relief, but the reticle can be seen/used further than that. The Monstrum is about 4'ish, but not as usable at further distances.
-ADJUSTMENT: All of Monstums' and Vectors prisms have 1/2' MOA adjustment. That's fine for a 1X, but they REALLY should offer finer adjustments on the higher magnification models. This is based solely on the fact that shooting is all about rounds on target and if you're going to offer higher magnification and a BDC reticle for longer shots, you NEED finer adjustments.I would like to try VORTEX's prisms, but they are 1/2' as well, even on their 5X.

Overall I like it and don't feel like I wasted my money. I would like to look at Vector's 4x prism, but the coarse adjustment keeps me from it.

I will be changing the mount an American/QD mount. I have had several experiences between mounts and knives that have shown me that Chinese either do not know how, or choose not to properly harden steel.

I own both Paragon 3x and Primary Arms 3x Microsprism, so I am able to compare them side by side.

Pros:
-Paragon has excellent optical quality, even by much more expensive scope standards. Noticably better than PA Microprism.
-The body's funnel angle aligns almost perfectly with the eye relief, creating a very minimal scope body shadow in user's view. It's about half the width of the shadown on PA Microprism.
-I like Paragons reticle better than ACSS. The EOTek-ish donut of death feels better than ACSS horseshoe for fast shooting. In general Paragons reticle feels less bulky and more usable.
-I was surprised by the steel thread insets at the mount base. This is an unprecendented attention to detail for budget scopes.

Cons:
-1 MOA adjustment is pretty coarse. Not unusable, but could be better.
-Lacking motion activated illumination on/off feature. This is now standard for modern scopes, and I feel naked without it.
-Mounting footprint, while technically compatible with T1/T2, doesn't align with standard optical heights due to about 0.5 extendion at the body's base. This actually worked out perfectly for my personal use case, where I wanted my optic to sit at 1.93' optical height, but I imagine most people would not be happy.

Conclusion:
This is a very good optic, especially for its price range. If Vector decides to make a Paragon Gen 2 with shake awake feature and 1/2 MOA adjustments, it will have an uncontested winner in this category.

Delivered unexpectedly quickly, for about a week. The parcel came to the checkpoint in the "five". Packed without frills, but with high quality: a box made of hard cardboard, and its own box was already tightly in it. My first prismatic, I can't compare with anything. For now, offhand, comparing it with an ordinary collimator: the position of the head relative to the sight is important here, it seems not as strict as with optical sights, but still. Outwardly, in terms of workmanship, everything is good and solid, quite branded products. Put on a pistol caliber carbine (V-185). Now I'm waiting for another 3x18 for Kalashoid.

Shipping took less than 7 days to USA.

The prism is so good. Really great sight picture with great glass. It has a really comfortable eye relief.

I would get the Paragon 3X than the Holosun or Primary Arms prism optics.

The picture is light and sharp. The backlight is very powerful. The size is like a collimator. Came at a high base, although the seller said that he sent it on low. But on the crown sag on AK and with a high base is not bad. The ballistic mesh is shallow, but meters by 200-300 m is quite convenient. When it is dark-it is only possible to use the circle and the point. In general, the sight is good.

Product arrived and of very good quality, it lacks the forehead to see the quality when using.
