Field Target Competition | Continental x6 3-18x50 MPVO ARI SFP Rifle Scope (SCOL-53) | Long-Range Shooting

Super nice for the money. Reticle and illumination are first rate.

My second scope from the Continental series. Amazed at the quality of construction and performance for the price.

Best scope that I’ve owned for the money.

The windage adjustment matches my ballistic app perfectly - no need for holdovers at typical hunting distances.

The exit pupil maintains circular shape across the entire zoom range - no distortion at edges like some budget optics.

Desert proven: Three months in Arizona with daily 40+°C heat and blowing sand hasn't affected the smooth operation.

Alpine tested: Functioned flawlessly from 10,000ft elevation down to sea level without any pressure-related issues.

The throw lever (sold separately) attaches securely to the magnification ring - no slippage during rapid zoom adjustments.

The windage adjustment matches precisely with my ballistic calculator's recommendations - no unexplained deviations.

For the price-conscious professional: This survived a 4ft drop onto concrete during a vehicle transition drill. Only minor cosmetic damage.

The reticle stays crisp even with my slight astigmatism - no starburst effect common with some illuminated designs.

The magnification ring has just enough texture - not abrasive but provides solid grip even with sweaty hands.

The reticle thickness is perfect - thin enough for precision but visible against varied backgrounds without illumination.

The windage turret has a tactile reset that's easy to feel with gloves on - no more guessing if you've re-zeroed correctly.

Competition proven: Took 2nd place in local PRS match against shooters with $2,000+ optics. The scope wasn't the limiting factor.

Unlike competitors, the illumination doesn't create a starburst effect with astigmatism. Red setting is perfect for snowy terrain.

The reticle illumination is perfectly daylight visible - not just a dim glow like some budget options.

The diopter lock prevents accidental adjustments while still allowing quick changes when intentional.

Cowboy action crossover: Works surprisingly well for mounted shooting when set to 3x - wide field of view with just enough magnification.

African safari tested: Handled extreme temperature swings from 40°C midday to 5°C nights without any fogging or zero shift.

Suppressor compatible: The extended eye relief works perfectly with my NV bridge setup, no need for awkward head positioning.

Water test passed: Submerged for 30 minutes at 1m depth with no leakage. Humidity hasn't affected the lenses after monsoon season.

Lab tested: Light transmission measures at 92% of Zeiss Conquest. Chromatic aberration is controlled better than most $800 scopes.

The nitrogen purging is effective - went from -10°F outside to 70°F inside without any fogging issues.

The magnification indicator is visible from the shooting position - no need to break cheek weld to check zoom level.

The turret caps thread smoothly without cross-threading - a small but appreciated quality indicator.

The magnification numbers face the shooter - small detail but makes quick zoom verification much easier in the field.

Senior shooter approved: The generous eye box accommodates slight head position changes that come with aging marksmen.

For female shooters: The 3.5" eye relief accommodates different shooting positions comfortably without scope bite concerns.

Hunters' note: The 3x low-end magnification provides crucial peripheral vision for tracking moving targets in dense woods.

The turret revolution indicator is clearly marked - no confusion about which rotation you're on during long adjustments.

The included mounting screws are high quality - no stripping during installation like with cheaper hardware.
