The first focal plane reticle is a practical addition, especially when using the scope for distance estimation. The controls are straightforward, and the overall design feels well suited to more deliberate observation sessions.
Went long range shooting . Could spot bullet holes ( 30 cal.) at 333 yds . in black target . At 558 yds could plainly see lines and numbers on the rings but couldn't make out any bullet holes . Extremely impressed ! It is big and heavy but fine for range work .
Instructions with the scope didn't have the ocular adjustment. once I figure that out the scope is very clear and the reticle is great for helping spot misses. I upgraded from a Leupold 15-30x50 scope and this is clearer at low power, and has way more high end power for a spotter. Very heavy, but thats not a problem for mounting on a tripod and parking it at a match to spot misses.
