Ultra-Compact 1x Prism Optic — Paragon 1x18 Mini Prism Scope

Ultra-Compact 1x Prism Optic — Paragon 1x18 Mini Prism Scope

Prism scopes have always been known for their clarity and precision—especially for shooters dealing with astigmatism. But for a long time, there was a trade-off: better optics usually meant a bulkier setup.

That’s exactly what the Paragon 1x18 Mini Prism Scope is designed to change.

It delivers the core advantages of a prism optic, but in a size that feels much closer to a red dot—compact, lightweight, and easy to run without slowing you down.

A New Standard for Compact Prism Optics

Our next-generation SCPS-M10 1x18 Red & Green Reticle Mini Prism Scope pushes compact design further, bringing meaningful upgrades over the previous M01 while keeping everything streamlined and practical.

What’s improved on the SCPS-M10 prism scope:

  • More Compact — reduced to just 60.5 mm in length, making it easier to integrate into modern lightweight builds
  • Lighter Weight — now only 178 g (6.28 oz), helping maintain better balance and less fatigue over time
  • Brighter Image — upgraded 18 mm objective lens improves light transmission for a clearer view
  • Sharper Opticsfully multi-coated lenses enhance contrast and overall image definition
  • Same Rugged Strength — keeps the durability expected from prism scopes in a smaller footprint
  • Larger Eyeboxmore forgiving head position for faster target acquisition and improved comfort
  • Dual Reticle Colorsred and green options to adapt to lighting conditions and individual preference

Built to Handle Real Conditions

The SCPS-M10 prism scope isn’t just about size—it’s made for real-world use.

With an IP67 rating, it’s fully sealed against dust and can handle water exposure without concern. Whether it’s dirt, rain, or a messy training day, maintenance stays simple.

Inside, the optic is reinforced to handle up to 1000G of shock. That level of durability allows it to manage recoil from calibers like .223 and .308 while maintaining zero over extended use.

It’s built to keep working, even when conditions aren’t ideal.

Wide Field of View, Natural Shooting Feel

One thing you notice immediately with the SCPS-M10 prism scope is how natural it feels.

The wide field of view helps you stay aware of your surroundings, which is especially important in dynamic shooting situations. Combined with true 1x magnification, the image feels almost unrestricted.

This allows for both-eyes-open shooting, making target acquisition quicker and transitions smoother. Instead of fighting the optic, it works with how you naturally aim.

A More Forgiving Eyebox

Eyebox is often a weak point for compact prism scopes, but the SCPS-M10 prism scope takes a different approach.

By extending eye relief, increasing the objective lens size, and refining the eyepiece design, the optic becomes noticeably easier to use. You don’t need a perfectly fixed head position to get a clear sight picture.

In practice, this means faster alignment, more flexibility in shooting positions, and less strain during longer sessions.

Reticle Design — Fast and Precise

The SCPS-M10 prism scope uses the VEP-CDR reticle, designed to keep things simple while still being effective across different distances.

At the center, a 2 MOA dot provides a precise aiming point. Around it, an interrupted circle naturally draws your eye toward the target, helping speed up acquisition without cluttering the view.

It supports common zeroing setups like 50/200 yards, making it practical for real-world shooting distances.

For close-range scenarios, the lower edge of the ring can also be used as a quick reference point, which is especially useful in fast, CQB-style situations.

Using the 68 MOA Ring for Quick Range Estimation

The 68 MOA ring can also be used for quick distance checks.

As a reference, an average adult (~5'8") will roughly fill the ring at 100 yards. If the target fills half the ring, it’s about 200 yards; one-third suggests around 300 yards; one-quarter, roughly 400 yards.

We do not recommend shooting beyond 400 yards with a 1x prism scope, as accuracy and clarity may be compromised.

Ranging Game with the Reticle

The same principle applies to animals.

A typical deer (about 2'8"–3' in length) will fill around half the ring at roughly 100 yards. If it fills most of the ring, the distance is closer to 50 yards.

Illumination That Adapts to Different Conditions

The reticle features 11 brightness levels of illumination, allowing it to remain visible across a wide range of environments.

You can switch between red and green illumination depending on what works best for your eyes and surroundings. Many users find green easier to pick up in various lighting conditions, especially during extended use, as it tends to reduce visual fatigue.

This flexibility helps the optic stay usable whether you’re in bright daylight or low-light conditions.

Final Thoughts

The SCPS-M10 prism scope is built around one idea: deliver prism-level clarity in a form that feels as easy to run as a red dot.

It keeps things compact without sacrificing performance, offers a natural shooting experience, and adds enough versatility to handle a wide range of scenarios.

For shooters who want speed, simplicity, and a clean sight picture—all in one setup—it’s a direction that just makes sense.
